Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms sour tomatoes


  • 2 nos onion medium finely chopped


  • 1 nos garlic


  • 3 nos red chilly/ green chilly


  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped


  • 2 tbsp mustard oil


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Directions

  • Wash and wipe tomatoes properly
  • Rub some oil on tomatoes and roast on fire till done
  • Let it cool down naturally
  • Now peel off skin and keep it in a large bowl
  • Now roast garlic and chillies
  • Peel off garlic cloves and finely chopped it
  • Break chillies in chunk pieces
  • Then mash tomatoes very gently
  • Take a large bowl mix all ingredients together as mashed tomatoes, chopped onion, garlic cloves, chillies, coriander leaves, salt, and mustard oil
  • Add lemon juice also if tomatoes are not sour
  • Serve it with rice and chapati as a side dish or replacement of chatney or pickle
